A view of the Ventura Theatre building looking northeast on South Chestnut Street. The complex consists of two separate buildings, the Ventura Theatre (at 26 South Chestnut Street) and the adjacent Ventura Theatre Building which is visible in this photo. This commercial and office segment of the complex was the victim of a 1950s “modernization” project resulting in removal of most of the decorative elements along with changes to the original windows and entrances.
