[User contributed description]
A circa early 1950s view of the south facade on Main Street. The building is situated at the northeast corner of Saratoga and Main Streets. City directories indicate that a grocery store/market has operated continuously at this location since at least 1931.

Cipriano Garcia was the longtime proprietor of the grocery store that operated under his name into the late 1940s. Beginning circa 1951, the business is listed in directories as the La Victoria Market and, at least initially, entries still showed Mr. Garcia as the proprietor. The La Victoria Market name continued to appear in directories through at least 2013, but at some point the store’s name was changed to La Hacienda Market.
