The Museum of Ventura County is encouraging organizations and individuals to submit their stories, images, videos, artwork, and other documentation of the regional activism that is currently taking place in response to the deaths of black Americans and racism in American culture. The Museum’s goal is to create an online resource and archive of these materials, to document this historic moment and the community’s response to it for future generations. We encourage you to share your experiences, photographs, videos, artwork and more. You can contribute to this project here.

This project is a freely available resource that seeks to preserve and make accessible the digital media captured and created by community members in Ventura County during the protests following the death of George Floyd in Minneapolis, Minnesota, on May 25, 2020. Our project has the ultimate goal of providing diverse perspectives on the protest response in Ventura County and any resulting social dialogue. Contribute your voice to the discussion by adding your images, videos or personal stories to the collection.
