The boys and girls are all holding musical instruments, including drums, saxophones, trombones, clarinets, and string instruments. Library records indicate that they are "unidentified students from May Henning School, Ventura County Lorell McCann, Instrumental Music - Junior High 1930. One child, (10th from front row right) identified as John. One child 2nd from left in back row identified as Jean. Note: Name on photo misleading."
