Museum records indicate the statue was given to the Ventura County Historical Museum (now in 2022 called the Museum of Ventura County) in 1987 (Accession #1987-49) by Rhoda May Adamson & Sylvia Sheridan. It has been deaccessioned and is no longer part of the museum collection. The statue is attributed to sculptor Finn H. Froelich sometime in the 1920s.
