Description
Library records state: "The Butterfield Grade came thru the saddleback at the left of center of the picture and swung around to the right following the contour of the hills and reached the Santa Rosa Valley at the present school house [Santa Rosa Technology Magnet School] in the lower right hand corner." Image shows a road (Santa Rosa Road) with orchards above it on center and left side, and a school on the right corner with the grade visible above school.
