A beautiful plum tree shades my front yard in Oxnard and I love to watch the seasons unfold under its leafy branches. In March, it bursts forth with beautiful white blossoms. By April, the blossoms have floated down to carpet my grass in fragrant petals. The tree then sprouts bright green leaves, which deepen into a rich, forest green throughout the summer. Towards November, the leaves slowly turn shades of red, orange, and yellow and one by one drift down to Earth, carpeting my lawn in a multi-colored tapestry.
