The Noble Hill Apartments building was constructed in 1928 in the Mediterranean style for Noble Hill, the the property owner. Before moving to Ventura, Mr. Hill owned and led the Todd Seminary for Boys in Woodstock, Illinois. Los Angeles architect Frank S. McKee designed the building.

Perched on the hillside at the southwest corner of Poli and Fir Streets, many of the apartments had — and still have — a commanding view of downtown Ventura and the ocean. It is located directly south of the former Elizabeth Bard Memorial Hospital.

With the exception of a missing pilaster (left of entrance) when this photo was taken (2025), the structure is in remarkably good condition as it approaches its 100th anniversary. Some notable features of the north facade include the French style multi-paned windows, second story windows with flat hoods and bracketed sills, and quoins on the corners. Newspaper articles from the 1930s reported that Mr. and Mrs. Hill added a roof garden for tenants to use for entertaining guests.</dcterms:description>

They were originally designed to look like one building in the Spanish Revival style. Currently, the theater facility is primarily used for live concerts and is known as The Majestic Ventura Theater.
